  • Lead the national sales function for Hollard Insure Specialist Lines: Travel by setting and executing the sales strategy across broker-facing teams and key portfolios.
  • Drive profitable growth, retention, market penetration and broker relationship excellence across the Travel portfolio, ensuring that sales activity is aligned to underwriting appetite, claims experience, credit control discipline and business objectives.
  • Provide leadership, coaching and performance direction to Broker Consultants and the Business Development Manager.
  • Partner with underwriting, claims, operations, risk services, finance/credit control and business leadership to ensure a consistent, broker-centric and commercially sound value proposition.
     
Key Performance Area’s 
Sales & Business Development
  • Promote Hollard Travel products to travel agents and business partners.
  • Conduct regular face-to-face visits with travel agencies.
  • Identify opportunities to grow sales within existing and new partner accounts.
  • Deliver product presentations and training sessions to travel consultants.
  • Support the onboarding of new travel agency partners.
     
Relationship Management
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with travel agents and key stakeholders.
  • Serve as a trusted first point of contact for partner queries.
  • Ensure travel agencies understand Hollard Travel products, systems and processes.
  • Conduct regular account reviews and provide feedback to management.
     
Product & Marketing Support
  • Ensure travel agencies have access to current marketing and promotional material.
  • Assist agencies with system access, login queries and process-related questions.
  • Promote new products, initiatives and campaigns.
  • Gather market feedback and competitor insights.
     
Customer Service
  • Respond professionally and promptly to partner queries.
  • Escalate technical, underwriting, claims or complaint-related matters to the appropriate teams.
  • Support travel agents in delivering excellent service to their customers.
     
Reporting & Administration
  • Maintain accurate records of visits, training sessions and sales activity.
  • Prepare basic monthly sales and activity reports.
  • Track opportunities and follow-up actions within your portfolio.

Required Qualifications

Qualifications and Experience 

Minimum Qualifications 
  • Matric / Grade 12.
  • Valid driver’s license and own reliable vehicle
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

Desirable Qualification 
  • Postgraduate qualification in business, leadership, sales, insurance or related field.
  • Continuous professional development in short-term insurance, leadership, broker management and financial acumen.

Experience 
Minimum Experience 
  • 2 years’ experience or more
  • Experience within the travel, tourism, hospitality or insurance industries
  • Sales or customer service experience (face to face)
  • Experience delivering training or presentations
  • Relevant qualification in Sales, Marketing, Tourism or Business 
     
Desirable Experience 
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Relationship-building and networking ability
  • Willingness to travel regularly
