This is a fantastic opportunity for an in-house Junior Travel Consultant with an eye for detail and a love for travel and organization. Join the team and bring your experience in domestic and international corporate travel, dealing with multiple trips and clients in a relaxed yet highly-professional environment.
In this role, you will work closely with the company’s Senior Travel Consultant to book, coordinate and manage local and international travel across the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the end-to-end travel process including planning, costing, implementing and confirming itineraries, through to post-travel communications.
- Booking of flights, car hire and accommodation on behalf of all local and international travelling company employees.
- Ensure all bookings are completed accurately, efficiently and timeously.
- Secure the best travel deals available in the market in terms of price, quality, timing and other factors specific to the company travel policy.
- Monitor and facilitate the use of company frequent flyer programs, and other applicable rewards and loyalty programs.
- Build a database of reliable accommodation in various cities, locally and internationally.
- Respond to and timeously resolve any issues which may arise with travel suppliers.
- Able to secure, cost and present excellent travel itineraries to management and the team.
- Ensure timeous completion of every travel booking.
- Able to complete and present, inter alia, monthly reports, purchase orders and travel related administration as required for all travel that takes place.

- Ability to pay attention to detail and have good reporting skills.
- Must have a detailed understanding of the rules and regulations for travel.
- Excellent communication skills in both written and spoken English.
- Ability to work under pressure and to handle very large volumes with quick turnaround times.
- Expected to understand the requirements for VISA applications and to complete these applications.
- Must have a minimum of 3 years hands-on experience in local and international corporate travel bookings.
- Must have experience working with Amadeus travel system.
Qualifications:
- Relevant Degree/Diploma in Travel and Tourism.
- Amadeus Certification.
