Job Description

1. Build close relationships with all Agents and Sales Team.
2. Include a minimum of 20% new touring options per proposal and ensure that the proposal is prepared as per agreed processes and communication around the proposal is clear, engaging and sales orientated.
3. Ensuring high attention to detail is always maintained
4. Strive towards successfully converting RFPs
5. Prepare and design creative itineraries & proposals.
6. Prepare excel costings.
7. Focus on delivery excellence in customer service to agents and guests (speed to replies/accuracy/creativity/file handling).
8. Striving towards exceeding and maximizing revenue.
9. Applying processes: rate negotiations, negotiate terms and conditions, booking accommodation and services as required
10. Create and update tracking documents
11. Ensuring proficiency in that all files are quoted and operated at an acceptable margin and profit level according to the company margin strategy.
12. Ensure VIP’s receive appropriate attention.
13. Assist with all other reasonable requests where required.
14. Ability to work un-supervised and under pressure.

Salary

Negotiable depending on experience

Required Qualifications

Skills

1. Tour consultant experience at a senior level in an inbound tour-operating environment for a minimum of 5 years.
2. Excel experience is an advantage
3. Creative itinerary design, quoting & sales.
4. Excellent relationship building skills.
5. Team- work and be able work autonomous when required.
6. Good product knowledge of Southern Africa.
7. Good office/administration skills
8. Understanding of on the ground operations and excellent quality control.
9. Good English communication verbal and written.
