Job Description
Role Purpose
We are seeking an ambitious and proactive Sales Specialist to lead our client acquisition efforts and manage the entire sales process from initial outreach to signed contract. Operating within the fast-paced world of travel management, this role focuses on generating new leads, engaging potential clients, presenting tailored solutions, and ultimately driving revenue growth.
This is not just a support role — it’s a sales position with real ownership and accountability. The ideal candidate will thrive on building relationships, hunting for new business, and confidently presenting our value proposition to senior decision-makers across sectors (corporate, academic, government, private).
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead Generation & Client Outreach
- Conduct targeted cold calling, email outreach, and LinkedIn prospecting to generate qualified leads.
- Research and identify prospective clients across relevant industries and maintain detailed prospect lists.
- Manage lead pipelines and continuously identify new opportunities for engagement.
- Build and nurture relationships with key decision-makers from first contact to close.
2. Full Sales Cycle Management
- Own the sales process end-to-end — from initial outreach, discovery calls, and presentations, to proposal writing and deal closure.
- Clearly articulate and present our travel management solutions and competitive value proposition.
- Set up and lead client meetings, both virtually and in person where applicable.
- Maintain momentum throughout the sales pipeline with timely follow-ups and clear communication.
3. Proposal & Bid Coordination
- Draft compelling proposals, pitch documents, and RFP responses tailored to client needs.
- Collaborate with internal teams to gather accurate information for proposals.
- Ensure timely submission of high-quality documents that align with client requirements and brand standards.
4. CRM & Sales Reporting
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the CRM system (e.g. Salesforce, HubSpot).
- Track progress across the sales funnel and generate regular reports on pipeline status and performance against KPIs.
- Ensure data accuracy and identify gaps or inefficiencies in the sales process.
5. Market & Client Intelligence
- Monitor industry trends, client activity, and competitor offerings to support strategic sales planning.
- Gather and relay feedback from prospective clients to inform service improvements and positioning.
6. Sales Administration
- Manage calendars, meeting bookings, and follow-ups related to sales activities.
- Prepare briefing materials and agendas for client-facing meetings.
- Ensure all sales documentation is organised, accessible, and up-to-date.
7. Continuous Improvement
- Suggest and implement improvements to sales tools, templates, and workflows.
- Collaborate with marketing to enhance campaign effectiveness and lead conversion rates.
- Contribute to client retention strategy by ensuring smooth handover post-sale and supporting early-stage onboarding.
