Fixed Term Contract for 12 Months
ABOUT THE JOB:
Responsible for the day to day travel activities of the agency. Oversee functions of all Travel Consultants. Coordinate and guide the consultants to work for the customer’s satisfaction.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- The development and upkeep of constructive relationships to provide effective and sufficient business outputs.
- The capturing, upkeep and processing of data and information in terms of all travel arrangements.
- To ensure that all approved travel forms are obtained before releasing travel documents as per the approved travel management practice.
- To maintain the up- to -date information on the travel operations by forwarding updated information from airlines/hotels/car rental companies to junior and intermediate consultants.
- To liaise with airlines, hotels and transport companies regarding information required by the client.
- Responsible for dedicated account/s and take control of the full span of travel activities e.g., - from request until final invoice, including international travel.
- To process all travel requirements according to the travel management practises and adhere to terms and conditions set by the travel industry regarding their products.
- To make prompt decisions on behalf of the customers to his advantage e.g. cost effective available flights subject to approval of the client.
- To assist with the requirements needed for visa applications.
- To collect all money outstanding on COD tickets.
- Handle complex airfares and accommodation in premium hotels.
Required Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Grade 12 or NQF level 4, Tourism Diploma (3years)
- International fares and ticketing certificates.
- Various travel related seminars
- 5- 7 years’ experience within the travel environment
KNOWLEDGE & FUNCTIONAL SKILLS:
- Job related knowledge is gained through the daily operations of the travel office seeing to the customers’ needs and requirements.
