Job Description
Purpose of the role
The Graphic Designer is responsible for conceptualising, creating and delivering high-quality visual content that supports the branding, marketing and communication objectives of Travel With Flair (Pty) Ltd (TWF), Leef Jou Reis (LJR) and related business requirements. The role covers print, digital, presentation, video and social media content and requires consistent application of the relevant corporate identity (CI) and brand guidelines. The Graphic Designer will manage multiple design priorities across the brands, with work allocated according to business needs, deadlines and the most immediate design requirements.
Key Responsibilities:

- Ensuring all designs are aligned with the applicable TWF and Leef Jou Reis brand identities, corporate identity (CI) standards and brand guidelines, maintaining a consistent and professional visual presence across all platforms.
- Preparing design concepts, mock-ups and prototypes, presenting them to relevant stakeholders, and implementing revisions accurately and within agreed timelines.
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders, copywriters, photographers, suppliers and external agencies to ensure the effective integration and delivery of design concepts.
- Developing original concepts and visual ideas for digital, print, presentation, video and multimedia platforms.
- Working closely with Marketing, Sales and other relevant departments to adapt and produce designs for campaigns, promotional materials, websites, presentations and social media.
- Ensuring that all final artwork and designs are production-ready, correctly formatted and supplied in the appropriate file formats, dimensions, resolutions and colour specifications.
- Researching and staying up to date with design, tourism, marketing and digital trends to ensure creative work remains relevant, innovative and aligned with industry best practice.
- Designing and producing print media and marketing collateral, including brochures, flyers, posters, roll-up banners, signage, wallpapers, banners and other required print assets.
- Creating and optimising digital assets for websites, social media, email communication and other digital platforms, ensuring visual consistency and suitability for the intended channel.
- Creating and editing video content, animations and motion graphics using iMovie, Adobe applications or other suitable video-editing software, as required.
- Conducting quality assurance checks on all creative work to ensure accuracy, consistency, correct branding, appropriate formatting and adherence to design standards before release or production.
- Managing design files and digital assets, ensuring accurate naming, version control, organisation, storage, archiving and efficient retrieval of source and final artwork.
- Creating travel itinerary brochures in accordance with the Leef Jou Reis CI and any applicable TWF brand requirements.
- Creating professional PowerPoint presentations and other presentation materials for internal and external business use.
- Designing and compiling PDF tender documents and related collateral, including the incorporation and testing of QR codes for LJR and TWF IME requirements.
- Creating and managing social media content and visual assets, including platform-appropriate graphics, campaign content and other creative material required to support social media activity.
- Maintaining a portfolio-ready standard of work and, where applicable, applying experience gained from marketing, travel or tourism-related campaigns.
Competency Requirements:
- Strong understanding of typography, colour theory, composition, layout and visual hierarchy, with the ability to apply these principles consistently across print and digital media.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to interpret briefs, present design concepts, receive feedback and translate business requirements into effective visual solutions.
- Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple briefs and competing priorities, meet tight deadlines and deliver consistently high-quality work.
- Strong knowledge of current digital, social media and marketing trends, including best practices for creating platform-appropriate visual content.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in preparing artwork, presentations, tender documents, digital content and print-ready files.
- Self-motivated, creative and adaptable, with a strong sense of ownership, a passion for design and a commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
- Ability to work across multiple media formats, including print, digital, social media, video, presentations and branded corporate material.
- Ability to maintain brand consistency while adapting creative concepts for different audiences, campaigns and communication channels.

- A tertiary qualification (bachelor’s degree or Diploma) in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Branding or a related creative field.
- 3-5 years working experience
- Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate.
- Expert working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign, with experience in After Effects or similar motion-graphics software advantageous. Proficiency in other relevant design tools such as CorelDRAW, Figma, Adobe XD and Canva will be advantageous.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and PowerPoint, with the ability to create polished, professional presentations and documents.
- Proficiency in iMovie or other professional video-creation and video-editing software.
- A strong professional portfolio demonstrating a range of print and digital design work; experience or portfolio examples relating to marketing, travel or tourism campaigns will be advantageous.
- Demonstrated ability to create both print assets (including brochures, flyers and roll-up banners) and digital assets (including social media graphics, email content and web banners).
