Lead the Next Chapter of a Growing Travel Agency
We are an established and growing travel agency with a talented, experienced team that knows how to deliver. We are now looking for a strong, commercially minded leader who can take the business into its next chapter.
The Opportunity
As Managing Director, you will take ownership of the performance, growth and future direction of the business.
You will develop and implement the growth strategy, open new doors with clients and suppliers, and work closely with our shareholders to shape the company’s future. You will have the freedom to make decisions, supported by a capable and experienced team.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the company’s growth strategy
- Identify and secure new business opportunities
- Strengthen relationships with clients, suppliers and industry partners
- Lead, motivate and support a capable team
- Provide operational guidance and step in when challenges arise
- Lead tenders, proposals and client presentations
- Take ownership of budgets, financial performance and management reporting
- Introduce technology and systems that improve efficiency, service and profitability
- Keep shareholders informed through clear reporting on performance, risks and opportunities
Required Qualifications

What You Will Bring
- Proven senior leadership experience, with a strong and verifiable track record
- Sound knowledge of the travel industry, including its operational challenges and emerging technologies
- A solid understanding of financial management, budgets, tenders, proposals and commercial decision-making
- Strong business-development, presentation and negotiation skills
- The ability to work independently and take ownership without requiring constant direction
- A hands-on and solutions-focused leadership style
- A confident, personable and outgoing manner
- A reputation for integrity, accountability and sound judgement
- Excellent, contactable professional references

General Details
Good to Know
This is a leadership role, not a booking consultant position.
You will not be expected to manage day-to-day reservations. However, you must understand travel operations well enough to guide and support the team when challenges arise.
