Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic and results‑driven Airline Sales Executive to represent a leading international airline in the South African market. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving revenue growth, strengthening trade relationships, and actively promoting the airline’s products and services through regular in‑person sales visits and industry engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Relationship Management
- Act as the primary point of contact between the airline and its key customer segments:
Corporate companies, TMCs, travel agencies, tour operators, consolidators, and trade partners.
- Build, maintain and strengthen strategic relationships with existing partners.
- Identify, pursue, and convert new business opportunities to grow market share and revenue.
- Conduct regular in‑person sales calls, client meetings, and follow‑ups.
Business Development & Market Growth
- Proactively identify emerging revenue streams and areas for business expansion.
- Negotiate corporate agreements, preferred partner deals, and incentive-based commercial contracts.
Product Promotion & Training
- Deliver engaging airline product presentations, training sessions, and updates for travel trade and corporate clients.
- Promote key airline features, routes, loyalty programs, and value propositions.
Performance Monitoring & Reporting
- Review and analyse airline sales figures, trends, and competitor activity.
- Provide monthly sales reports, pipeline updates, and performance analysis.
- Maintain accurate CRM and call‑cycle records, ensuring all activity is logged and kept up to date.
Industry Engagement
- Represent the airline at trade exhibitions, conferences, workshops, and networking events.
- Support marketing and promotional campaigns as required.

Required Qualifications
Qualification:
- Minimum 3 years experience in airline or travel trade sales.
- Strong understanding of airline distribution, fares, GDS systems, and travel agency operations.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to build rapport and maintain long‑term relationships with key decision-makers.
- Self‑motivated, target‑driven, and comfortable working independently.
- Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel for sales visits.
- CRM Experience a plus.
