Job Description
The Operations and Product Manager – Africa & Middle East Region is responsible for the successful and profitable management of all WOLO Travel programs and travel products across Africa and the Middle East in line with WOLO DMC’s operational standards. This role serves as the primary link between WOLO’s leadership, clients, suppliers, and operational teams within the region. The position also oversees local operational performance, supplier relations, and product development to ensure the highest quality of delivery and customer experience.
1. Operations & Communication
- Ensure suppliers, guides, and partners have up-to-date trip information.
- Manage schedules and communications to maximize operational efficiency.
- Maintain high standards of customer satisfaction through constant performance monitoring.
2. Product Development
- Design and develop new travel products and experiences across the region while growing booking volumes & profitability by region.
- Collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, and Reservations teams to align product offerings with market demand.
- Maintain strong relationships with local operators, national tourism boards, and key partners.
- Ensure all supplier contracts are current, competitive, and meet WOLO standards.
- Represent WOLO Travel at trade events and exhibitions as needed.
3. Leader Recruitment and Training
- Assist in recruiting, training, and managing WOLO guides and trip leaders.
- Ensure all team members adhere to company values, safety standards, and service protocols.
4. Finance and Compliance
- Maintain accurate records of transactions, payments, and supplier contracts.
- Collaborate with finance teams to ensure timely reporting and compliance with local regulations.
- Support company licensing and legal compliance in operational jurisdictions.

- Strong understanding of African travel logistics, culture, and supplier landscape.
- Ability to manage and develop employees, suppliers, and local operations teams.
- Problem-solving skills to handle emergencies and last-minute operational challenges.

- Strong interpersonal skills, capable of building productive cross-department relationships.

Required Qualifications
Qualification:
- Extensive travel experience within the Africa and EMEA region and a genuine passion for travel.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in operations, product development, or destination management.
- Proven ability to manage travel operations, build supplier networks, and ensure quality control.
- Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
- Experience managing budgets, suppliers, and contracts.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and travel management tools.
- Self-driven, reliable, and adaptable with a focus on continuous improvement.
