The Opportunity
As our
Revenue, Distribution & Reservations Manager, you will orchestrate the heartbeat of Cheetah Plains’ commercial ecosystem. This role demands a strategic visionary who can balance precision with innovation, optimise revenue streams, refine distribution channels, and elevate guest acquisition, all while safeguarding the lodge’s sustainability ethos. Based in Cape Town, you will collaborate closely with on-site teams, global partners, and ownership to ensure financial vitality and alignment with the lodge’s long-term vision.
This role reports to the Commercial Manager and has one direct report (Reservations Agent).
Key Responsibilities
- Revenue Strategy: Design and deploy pricing models to maximise occupancy, ADR, and profitability across all channels.
- Owner-Centric Storytelling: Craft compelling revenue packs for ownership, translating financial projections into strategic narratives that blend data-driven insights with Cheetah Plains’ brand ethos.
- Distribution Excellence: Using platforms like SiteMinder, optimise global partnerships with OTAS, luxury consortia (e.g., Virtuoso), and DMCS, ensuring market competitiveness and visibility.
- Reservations Leadership: Oversee end-to-end reservation workflows, refining PMS systems to enhance guest personalisation and operational efficiency.
- Data Mastery: Utilise advanced Excel skills to analyse trends, forecast demand, and model scenarios, transforming raw data into actionable strategies.
- Sustainability Alignment: Ensure revenue initiatives reflect Cheetah Plains’ conservation goals, embedding low-impact principles into pricing and promotions.
- Team Collaboration: Mentor the reservations team, fostering a culture of accuracy, innovation, and guest-centricity.

- An ambitious professional with 2+ years in revenue management, distribution, or reservations, ideally in luxury hospitality.
- Skilled in crafting owner-facing revenue packs that merge financial rigour with storytelling, inspiring confidence through clear projections and strategic vision.
- Proficient in revenue management systems, PMS, CRM, and distribution platforms (e.g., SiteMinder), with advanced Excel skills for data modelling and forecasting.
- Adept at negotiating with global partners and consortia, driven to expand market share in competitive landscapes.
- A data storyteller who can simplify complexity into compelling visuals and narratives.
- Passionate about sustainable travel, balancing profitability with environmental stewardship.
- A collaborative leader who thrives in fast-paced, remote environments.
- Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
