About the Opportunity
We are looking for an Accounts all-rounder, someone who thinks globally and can instinctively manage and interpret numbers like a wizard. You will be responsible for facilitating and documenting all financial transactions including accounts receivable & payable, cash flow & bank journals, invoices, payroll, and other financial functions. You will record all these transactions, balance accounts, and enter/verify/update financial information via our CRM & accounting system. Reporting directly to the General Manager and working with a team of travel industry professionals, your enthusiasm and accounting expertise will ensure that everything ‘adds up’!

The responsibilities of the position
- Full accounting function from general ledger to Income Statement, Balance Sheet and related reports
- Posting of day-to-day transactions, maintenance and filing of all associated financial records.
- Process accounts receivable/payable (both local and foreign) in a timely manner while performing checks of the posting process to ensure accuracy.
- Capture & reconcile bank statements while monitoring cash flow, budgets and company expenditure.
- Execute monthly payroll and prepare associated SARS documentation.
- Assist with monthly VAT submission and processing for VAT report.
- Management of fixed asset reconciliation, interest accruals and Forex gain/loss.
- Perform Customer and Supplier Reconciliations and verify all financial transactions are recorded in the correct journals, Suppliers Ledger, Customer Ledger, and General Ledger.
- Preparation of Monthly Reporting, Commission Statements & P&L.
- Ad hoc administrative duties as required.

R15 000 – R18 000 per month
Required Qualifications
Qualification:
Experience & Qualifications
- Relevant tertiary qualification in accounting
- Practical accounts experience of 2+ years (travel industry advantageous)
- Experience with Microsoft Business Central (preferred) or other ERP/Accounting Software
- Previous accounts experience within a multinational company preferred.
- Highly proficient with Microsoft Excel
