The role as a Product Specialist is to manage and develop supplier and partner relationships.
Relationship Management
➢ Build and manage strong relationships with Travel suppliers in your portfolio – which will mainly consist of “online partners” such as airlines, car rental, hotels etc.
➢ Build relationships with internal stakeholders and the different business units that are involved or support travel benefits and partner relationships.
➢ Formulating and management of supplier contracts.
Product Development
➢ Develops positioning for the product on various platforms.
➢ Develop and implement procedures and policies and find resolution of any operational issues.
➢ Define customer and business needs and the associated partners required to meet those needs.
➢ Oversee with the roll out of marketing initiatives and campaigns relating to travel (deal negotiation, onboarding requirements, SLA’s, operational and financial elements).
➢ Complete market research to identify best practice and inform strategy for Travel.
➢ Complete competitive analysis to remain competitive in the travel industry.
Operational Support
➢ Support and run with new staff training.
➢ Regular interaction with other travel teams to identify opportunities, sales, and operational efficiencies.
➢ Identify training requirements between supplier and sales teams.
➢ Support Sales teams in any supplier escalations where intervention is required.
Financial management
➢ Monitoring and reviewing sales behaviours and results through adequate reporting.
➢ Support the planning of revenue budgets for the portfolios you manage.
➢ Understand financial models and ROI models and apply these to new and existing partners.

Qualification:
Matric.
Minimum 6 years’ experience in the Travel Industry.
inimum 2 years’ experience in a Product Supporting Role.
Experience in the Leisure travel environment preferrable.
Global product (land & airline suppliers) and geographical travel knowledge required.
Experience in online supplier management and integrations advantageous.
Experience in negotiating and commercial dealmaking.
Ability to adapt to a hybrid working space i.e., blend of remote and specified office locations based on business needs.
Standard working hours are Monday – Friday, 08h00 – 17h00.
