Job Description

Our Social Media Manager will conduct the ideation, development, and deployment of social media content, including the scheduling, monitoring, and maintenance of our social media platforms to achieve business objectives, as well as manage the sales enablement process through all pertinent social channels based on audience segmentation. Ultimately, elevating brand awareness and driving meaningful social promotion, traffic and engagement. It is a remote job currently but candidate should be South Africa resident, preferably Johannesburg based.

General Details

What do you need to do (Role and Responsibilities)? 

  • Should have proven experience in managing multiple social media platforms, majorly Facebook, Instagram, Twitter , LinkedIn and other online channels
  • Develop creative and engaging social media strategies. Prepare a detailed social media plan including paid and unpaid events, budgets for all annual promotional and sale events of the organization
  • Develop and expand community and influencer outreach efforts. Build and connect social media influencers for existing markets and new expansion markets to create opportunities to increase brand visibility
  • Manage the day-to-day handling of all social media channels, adapting content to suit different channels. Prepare a monthly social media calendar, which should be communicated to all relevant stakeholders
  • Oversee, plan and deliver content across different platforms using scheduling tools such as Zoho Social
  • Manage and facilitate social media communities by responding and resolutions to social media posts and developing discussions / messages, online complaints/ queries and feedback
  • Research and evaluate the latest trends and techniques in order to find new and better ways of measuring social media activity and boost performance metrics
  • Set and deliver targets to increase brand awareness and increase customer engagement
  • Design specific social media campaigns and measure their success through outreach, campaign shares, views, likes and overall business outcome
  • Create engaging multimedia content across multiple platforms. Partner with Creative team to build exciting social media posts/ content to engage with existing customers and reach out to new customers
  • Encourage collaboration across teams and departments
  • Awareness of country wise festivals, key events throughout the year and support with social media plans
  • Stay up to date with all latest social media best practices and new technologies
  • Key custodian of Online Reputation Management (ORM) and works with other team members to create a positive customer experience
  • Monitoring and analysis of social media trends of the brand & the competitors across all markets
  • Day to day performance reporting in terms of posts, followers, trends, ORM and other related metrics
  • Monitor, track, analyze and report on performance on social media platforms using analytics tools
