Job Description
The main responsibility of a Tour Manager is to provide travel information and answers enquiries by tourists. Also assist with database management, creating itineraries, handling of bookings and travel documentation.
Typical Job Activities
- Encourages people to spend time and money in a particular area by promoting various destinations and packages.
- Works as an information center. Advises on places of interest and travel routes.
- Makes reservations for sightseeing tours, sporting events, Hotels, theatre trips, etc.
- Arranges hotel and bed and breakfast accommodation locally, liaises with other centers to book accommodation.
- Answers telephone and written enquiries, sell packages, Hotels and other related services.
- Gathers information that will be useful to tourists to the area and keep publicity information up to date.
