Respond to company’s agents and PR Companies on educational requests/familiarisation trips/media trips/prize winner/customer enquiries. Generate Sales for company. Process bookings in the company’s Window correctly and accurately. Process payments and check details on outstanding vouchers in Tourplan. Collect payment due. Provide a meet and greet service to customers if required. Handle and prepare documentation for agents. Keep up to date records including the following: Educational and media calendar for East Africa bookings specifically, associated product rolling lists, Adhoc projects when required.
Must have a valid passport.
Diploma in Travel & Tourism / Marketing.
Computer Literate in MS Office.
Basic accounting knowledge.
5-7 years’ experience in the travel & tourism industry.
Experience in handling customer relationships and developing & promoting product and services in the inbound travel industry.
Working knowledge of Tourplan and company’s Window or similar booking/operating system.
General product knowledge on Southern and East Africa.
Personal or educational travel experience.
Service and result orientated. Self-starter with high energy levels.
Accuracy in service offering.
Team worker with the ability to interface with customers and staff. Passionate & creative in service offering, dedicated to customer satisfaction and wanting to “go the extra mile”.
Excellent communication skills both written and oral. Ability to conclude sales ensuring maximum agent and guest satisfaction and business results.
Organized, methodical, systems based and good time management skills.
Ability to work with detail whilst under pressure and takes pride in maintaining zero error.
