Air France to expand Premium Voyageur service

AIR France, during its 2010 summer schedule, will continue to expand its premium economy product, Premium Voyageur on additional routes.

Additional routes with B777-200ER services will be refitted with the product and starting in July, the product will be extended to the A330-200 and A340-300 fleet.

Passengers travelling between Paris-Charles de Gaulle and Johannesburg from June 8 to July 11 in the Premium Voyageur cabin will benefit from a private cabin with 40% more space and a new seat that is 48cm wide with a 123-degree recline, equipped with a fixed shell.

Passengers will further benefit from some of the services offered in business class, such as the travel kit, a feather pillow and wool blanket. The inflight meal service will, however, be the same as in the economy cabin.

At the airport, services include priority check-in desks, a 30kg baggage allowance, boarding at passengers’ convenience and priority baggage delivery.

The Premium Voyageur cabin, which will be phased in on all long-haul flights operated with the Boeing 777, Airbus A340 and A330, is on sale to nine destinations: Beirut, Buenos Aires, Seoul, Hong Kong, Beijing, New York, Singapore, Osaka and Tokyo.

The airline’s B747-400, selected A330-200 and A340-200, A380 as well as B777-300ER aircraft operating flights to the French overseas territory in the Caribbean and Indian Ocean will not feature the Premium Voyageur cabin.
